Schedule

Thália Theatre believes that the magic of theatre should be accessible to everyone. With this in mind, on October 28, 2026, our production of The Prime of Life will be presented with audio description for blind and visually impaired audiences.

Seven men. One woman. And a love that has never been forgotten in twenty years.

The guests are successful, charming men in their forties who return to their former Oxford college after twenty years. Their host is Lady Rosemary, with whom they were all hopelessly in love during their university days.

But what happens when hope comes alive again after all these years?

An evening and morning spent together bring old memories, rekindled desires and increasingly absurd situations. Michael Frayn’s comedy accelerates into a laugh-out-loud farce, in which the encounter between seven men and one woman becomes a memory that perhaps would have been better left in the past…

The play was first staged in Hungary at Thália Theatre.

Registered guests are invited to a pre-show backstage tour and introduction, offering an opportunity to discover the stage design and set, as well as to learn about the performers, making the theatre experience even more immersive.

Location

Thália Theatre

In the Thália Theatre, the focus is on light-hearted entertainment, in the spirit of the "Pest Broadway" of Nagymező Street. The Thália Winter Garden, inaugurated in 2019, is a little more serious, while the Arizona Studio is home to independent productions. In 2017, the capital reaffirmed its confidence in the management, with Gábor Kálomista applying for the post of managing director and Géza Bereményi as an advisor.
