Ever since they met in 2010, Michèle Pierre and Paul Colomb have never stopped playing together regularly. Their playful conversations gave rise to Duo Brady, whose music is imbued with poetry, elegance and a touch of mischief. Their second album, *La vie d’après*, inspired by the world of science fiction, paints visions of a possible future in a tone that is both melancholic and hopeful. The lyrical depth, virtuoso improvisation and ceaseless dialogue that have always characterised the duo are here enriched by influences from acoustic techno, progressive rock and contemplative pop; the two musicians also draw extensively on modern techniques from contemporary music and weave choreographic elements into their live performances.

The guitar-drums duo is to rock what the piano trio is to jazz – a classic line-up. However, Oasis Boom’s music cannot be reduced to a single genre: in their hypnotic world, desert krautrock, experimental noise and techno-jazz trance converge, whilst the two musicians also draw on influences from surf, drone music, no wave and club music in places. Their live performances are built around a single, uninterrupted, free-form, tension-filled rhapsody, which, like a psychedelic road movie, transports the listener across endless landscapes. Shortly after the duo’s formation in 2021, they became known as one of the most unique acts on the French alternative music scene; their debut album, *Cactus Bus*, was released in 2025.
