Erzsébet Ferge: Folk Song Arrangements – with Looper Pedal
This concert is a tribute to Zoltán Kodály, Frigyes Hidas, Hungarian folk culture and nature. Through the meeting of classical music, Hungarian folk music and electronics, Erzsébet Ferge explores the points of connection between tradition and the present.
Live electronics, the looper pedal, performative elements, as well as her own improvisations and folk-music arrangements all serve to tell a personal yet shared musical story through the sound of the harp. A special highlight of the concert will be Márk Csernovszky’s composition, which will enrich this musical journey from a fresh perspective.
