Cafuné: A noite da saudade

Formed in 2022, the band Cafuné performs unique covers and original compositions at its concerts, with a focus on Brazilian music. Vocal and instrumental pieces alternate, often blending into medleys and spiced with improvisations. The band’s repertoire includes Brazilian music rarely heard even on an international scale, combining exuberance, elegance, virtuosity, freedom, melancholy, and joy. The spontaneity of their vocal style is also striking, as the three Pataki siblings often sing together. Márton Stummer’s guitar playing—which frequently blends Brazilian music with modern elements—is complemented by the rhythm section’s creative contributions. The band has released three full-length albums to date, but audiences can expect a constantly evolving setlist at their concerts. The title of their concert this time is *A noite da saudade*—meaning “the night of longing”—and the program will feature songs by Elis Regina, Baden Powell, and Cartola, among others.
