An eccentric teacher who ignites young souls begins his magical work in 1959 within the ancient walls of the Welton Academy. He tears the textbook apart page by page with his students because he wants them to discover that their life is poetry itself. Recognition brings lifelong love to some and tragedy to others. However, the spirit of rebellion is building in the tradition-respecting school.
