About the play
A black comedy and a dark journey into the subconscious of Sigmund Freud.
In 1939, towards the end of his life, Freud is living in England, battling a terminal illness. His one remaining wish is to ensure that his life's work is passed down to future generations in a way worthy of his legacy.
One night, however, a young woman turns up at his door and turns everything upside down. She insists that Freud treat her and is even willing to take off her clothes to persuade him. Desperate to protect his reputation, the professor tries to throw her out — only to discover that she is far more than an irritating obsessive.
The mysterious stranger wants to talk about a former patient. But what mistake did the legendary professor make? And what is the price of a psychiatrist getting it wrong?
In this dark comedy, Freud, with one foot in the grave, finds himself hiding a naked woman in his wardrobe. Meanwhile, the eccentric artistic genius Salvador Dalí arrives on the scene, alongside Freud's deeply religious doctor and confidant, Yahuda.
To clear up the scandalous misunderstandings threatening his reputation at the end of his life, Freud must find convincing explanations not only for the woman he is hiding, but also for his entire life's work.

Thália Theatre
In the Thália Theatre, the focus is on light-hearted entertainment, in the spirit of the "Pest Broadway" of Nagymező Street. The Thália Winter Garden, inaugurated in 2019, is a little more serious, while the Arizona Studio is home to independent productions. In 2017, the capital reaffirmed its confidence in the management, with Gábor Kálomista applying for the post of managing director and Géza Bereményi as an advisor.
