In the Time Lords story, after his parents are killed on the dangerous planet Perdide, little Piel's only contact with the outside world becomes the space smuggler Jaffar, with whom he communicates via a small radio, „Miki'. As Jaffar transports the exiled Prince Matton and Princess Belle from their former kingdom, he receives help to save Piel from old Silbad, who knows how to avoid the brain-eating insects and other dangers of the planet Perdide.
