Animated film (Danish-Belgian-Luxembourgish-French-Irish), color, subtitled, 93 min, 2014

Directed by Tomm Moore

*Song of the Sea* is a wondrous tale about Ben and his little sister, Saoirse, the last of the seal-folk. The two siblings embark on an adventurous journey, following an ancient, magical legend to free the faeries and save the spirit world. The film draws inspiration from the world of Irish folklore: mythological seal-folk live as seals in the sea but transform into humans on land.

This animated film by Irish director Tomm Moore (*The Secret of Kells*, *Wolfwalkers*) was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2015, while composer Bruno Coulais received a César nomination. That same year, the film won the European Film Award for Best Animated Feature and the Audience Award at the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival, among numerous other honors.

Since its Hungarian premiere in 2015, *Song of the Sea* has enjoyed enduring popularity and interest; due to popular demand, it is returning to cinemas nationwide!
