Look at that, Mom! – Coffee, Tea and Cake

In our September “Look at that, Mom!” program, we’ll step into the atmosphere of cafés and restaurants and find ourselves surrounded by set tables.

Schedule

We’ll explore who the women in the dining room might be in Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s painting, or how Pierre Bonnard captures the atmosphere of a Sunday lunch. Who pops into the restaurant in László Fülöp’s painting, and why is the café full of children in Artúr Halmi’s picture? The aroma of coffee and sweet moments await us!

We invite moms and dads for a guided tour to enjoy art with their one-year-old or younger babies. As museum educators and mothers alike, we have found that there are few museum programs that appeal to new parents. So with these guided tours we create an atmosphere in which no one is embarrassed by a crying or hungry baby.

Meeting point: information desk

Participation fee: 2000 HUF, including entrance fee

Duration: 60 minutes

Maximum number of participants: 17

The uninterrupted enjoyment of the programme is ensured by the use of tourguide devices. For artifact protection reasons, please secure baby carriers at the front. Visitors arriving with pushchairs are advised to use the barrier-free staff entrance located in Building B, Hunyadi Courtyard.
