Fráter Erzsébet biológus tárlatvezetése Urbán Ádám: A botanikus kert titkos élete című kiállításán

2026-05-08T14:00:00.000Z

Erzsébet Fráter, a biologist and director of the National Botanical Garden in Vácrátót, is also the curator of the Botanical Collection—in other words, the custodian of a “living museum” housing nearly 13,000 plant species. She knows many secrets, as this 200-year-old historic castle garden is not only her workplace but also her home. That is why she was delighted that Ádám Urbán explores these secrets from a different perspective. He views the Garden from the inside with an “outside perspective”—one that its “residents”—those who work among the plants day in and day out—cannot see. Through his subjective guided tour, he explores this tension between the outsider and the insider, the inside and the outside.
