BETA:TESTING - EXHIBITION BY THE HUNGARIAN UNIVERSITY OF FINE ARTS - Cellar Gallery

Schedule
The cooperative creations of the students of master painter Dániel Horváth and their invited colleagues can be tested by real users, the viewers, who can provide feedback, but the creators will not make any changes to the works as a result.
The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until April 29, free of charge.
The term "beta" originally refers to an intermediate state: not a prototype, but not yet final. It is a version that already works but contains errors, and these errors are not hidden but become visible during use.
In the "beta" state, the system takes shape with the participation of users. Operation becomes a collective experience: use is also testing, presence is feedback.
"Beta" thus describes a social and cultural state in which analog and digital realities are not stable structures, but systems that are constantly being updated. Bodies, gestures, materials, and algorithms coexist in an unstable but active environment where there is no final version—only temporary solutions.
In the context of the current exhibition, “beta” is not a temporary error, but a permanent state.
The exhibition presents works by students of Dániel Horváth’s master class at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and their invited colleagues, which were created through cooperative creative work and joint thinking, and convey a unified spirit.
