Cataflamingo

Cataflamingo is an alternative rock band from Budapest that evokes the nostalgic world of ’90s alternative and indie music with a modern sound. Their music naturally blends alternative rock, psychedelic vibes, and jazz elements, creating a sound that is at once energetic, melancholic, and experimental. After releasing two EPs, they released their debut full-length album, *Ajtónak támaszkodni*, in 2023, followed in November 2025 by their second album, *Döntetlen*, which was met with unanimous enthusiasm by the Hungarian music press. They are particularly strong live: tight, energetic, and possessing a good sense of balance between driving momentum and more sensitive, subtle passages. At their concerts, the noisy guitars reminiscent of the ’90s, the dynamic shifts, and the emotional yet powerful sound really work well together.
