It's 1971, in the United States, during the Richard Nixon presidency and the hippie era, involved in the compromise scandal. Raoul Duke, a sports reporter, is commissioned to cover a motorcycle race in the Nevada desert. With his friend, the lawyer Dr. Gonzo, he sets out, but their destination will not be the desert, but Las Vegas, the city of gambling. Equipped with all the existing types of drugs and alcohol, the two men embark on the adventure to find the American dream.
