Natasha manages the canteen of a secret Soviet research institute. Every evening she gets drunk and treats her subordinate, Olga, nastily. One night she sleeps with a visiting French researcher, as a result of which the secret service tortures her the next day and forces her to cooperate. The film is a radical and provocative tale about violence.
