In an age of looming political, religious and cultural polarisation, Yemen Blues strives to lead by example: using music to create a celebration that embraces everything and everyone in the community. The band’s four members represent different continents, whilst their roots span even more cultures. This global mosaic takes shape in an incredibly electrifying, multilingual blend of Bedouin folklore, funk, blues, avant-garde, classical Arabic music, rock, psychedelic music and jazz. The quartet’s latest genre-defying album, *Only Love Remains*, combines tradition with raw emotional power and a contemporary sound, resulting in a repertoire that is deeply spiritual yet deeply moving.
