After causing an accidental mishap at a house party, a man decides to return to his friends and act as if nothing happened. A security guard breaks free from his mundane routine for a few hours following a chance encounter, triggering a series of unexpected events. A young woman threatens to blackmail a billionaire inside an elevator. During the broadcast of a World Cup final, a commentator’s emotional breakdown coincides with the moment of a historic victory. A newly elected president’s live televised address takes an absurd turn. A priest attempts to extol the virtues of poverty to his congregation while becoming increasingly entangled in contradictions. A filmmaker works on an "important" film about an indigenous community, only to have his own hypocrisy and position of power gradually exposed.
This satirical comedy, characterized by biting humor, is built from stories like these, examining universal patterns of human behavior. Across sixteen short episodes, *Argentine Tales* paints an ironic and ruthlessly precise portrait of how modern society functions. It presents characters familiar to us all: the hypocrite who assumes the moral high ground out of self-interest, the supposedly expert commentator who speaks confidently on every topic yet is actually ill-informed, or the outwardly polite citizen who readily exploits others.
