Frenk at Bánya Kert

On August 7, one of the most distinctive and versatile performers on the Hungarian pop music scene will take the stage at Bánya Kert: Frenk.

Frenk has been a defining figure in the Hungarian music scene for more than two decades. His music blends elements of rock, pop, funk, jazz, classical music, and chanson into a completely unique soundscape that is uniquely his own. His songs are at once energetic and sensitive, playful and melancholic, while always retaining the sincerity and freedom that are the hallmarks of Frenk’s artistry.

He first gained recognition on the underground music scene as a member of Hiperkarma, and since 2007, audiences have been able to see him regularly as a resident singer at Budapest Bár. He has been touring the country with his own band since 2005, has nine studio albums to his credit, and is currently working on his tenth album.
