Author & Punisher is a San Diego-based one-man industrial doom metal project created in 2004 by mechanical engineer and artist Tristan Shone. What makes the project unique is that Shone uses massive, custom-built mechanical devices and controllers (called "Drone Machines" and "Dub Machines") that he designed and built himself to produce music, using physical force to create heavy, mechanical sounds.
