Kézdy Luca

Luca Kézdy is one of the most distinctive violinists on the Hungarian jazz and contemporary music scene. Her playing is at once meditative and passionate, a musical journey woven with improvisation, electronics and delicate textures, where the boundaries between genres become blurred. At her solo recital, we can venture with her across the boundaries of jazz, contemporary music and improvisation – something new and unrepeatable is born in every moment. Luca Kézdy, who also has a background in classical music, founded her own trio, Santa Divert, in 2006, and has worked with musicians such as Chris Potter, Stefano Di Battista, Sunna Gunnlaugs, Zoltán Lantos and Tibor Márkus. She has performed at all the major domestic festivals and clubs, as well as at numerous international jazz festivals, such as the Chelsea Music Festival, the Sparks & Visions Jazz Festival and the Gaume Jazz Festival. In 2019, she was awarded the Artisjus Prize. His first solo album, *Home*, was released in December 2022, followed in 2023 by *Unseen Landscapes*, which he premiered on the Opus stage; at the same time, his first and second solo exhibitions, bearing the same title, opened.
