At this free introductory improv workshop, we will explore exercises and techniques for connecting, listening, accepting, and engaging within a group so that others enjoy working and playing with us in an increasingly individualistic, self-focused world. This is what improvisation teaches us: spontaneity, generosity, and collaborative thinking—skills we use instinctively and masterfully in everyday life, but often need to relearn on stage.
We will gradually immerse ourselves in scene work, practicing the necessary techniques beforehand.
While we use theatrical techniques, this art form is not exclusively for performers. We are constantly improvising in our personal lives, at work, on stage, or in front of the camera. Mastering these techniques builds confidence, fosters a sense of freedom, and expands your communication skills.
