Schedule

The children’s play *Háry Jánoska*, serving as the opening event of the *Háry100* series, offers a fresh and playful answer to this question. Zoltán Kodály’s legendary song cycle is brought to life for young audiences by Ádám Dávid, author of numerous children’s books and rhyming stories. Director Mária Harangi, OPERA’s principal stage director, brings its immersive framework and sparkling poetic interludes to life, under the musical direction of Nikolett Hajzer, conductor of the Children’s Choir. The performance fits seamlessly into the youth repertoire developed in recent years, which includes *János the Brave*, *The Taming of the Shrew*, *István, the King (Junior)*, *The Little Chimney Sweep*, and *Hungarian Christmas*, all of which have been presented on the stages of the Opera House and the Eiffel Workshop. This time, the Bánffy Miklós Hall will host the brand-new model production by the 100-member choir.

Performance length: 1 hour 15 minutes, without intermission
