MALOM SOCIETY

Located in Újbuda, right at the gateway to the Danube bank, we are bringing the industrial spaces of the Budai Hengermalom back to life. MALOM SOCIETY is an open community workspace, creative studio, and experimental event venue where architectural heritage meets contemporary urban life.

We believe that the genuine revitalization of an industrial landmark begins with community engagement: through process-based use, we open our doors to neighbors, creators, and urban explorers.

Our spaces host a wide variety of formats, from professional roundtables, urban design discourses, and design markets to family-friendly community gatherings. In addition, our ovens fire up from time to time as PIZZA SOCIETY opens its doors, welcoming visitors for casual shared toasts alongside specialty and themed culinary highlights—ranging from goat cheese creations to festive Halloween flavors. Our mission is to shape the complex into an organic cultural meeting point and a vibrant living forum for the revitalized southern Danube riverfront.
