Pesti Vigadó
The Pesti Vigadó, or Vigado for short, is a historic building, tourist attraction and all-arts event centre located on the banks of the Danube in the centre of Budapest. Until the 1849 Buda City Revolution, it was replaced by the neoclassical Redoute, a castle that was reduced to rubble by the Austrians. The new Romanesque, Byzantine and Moorish Vigadó building was inaugurated in 1865.
