2HA Szőlőbirtok és Pincészet
A winery and olive grove on Szent György Hill. Organic viticulture and organic wines, primarily reds, but there is no shortage of Olaszrizling or orange wine either. A cool cellar, breathtaking views, fascinating stories and an unforgettable setting: enjoy a glass of wine in the shade of centuries-old olive trees.
Winemaker and owner Török Csaba set out more than 20 years ago to make a single barrel of red wine purely for his own pleasure, using one of the world’s best-known and most popular grape varieties, Sangiovese. The resulting wine was later released under the name Tabunello and went on to become a benchmark among Hungarian reds. Production has long since grown far beyond that first barrel, and the range is no longer limited to Sangiovese: Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Csókaszőlő form the core of the red wine portfolio, while the Bordeaux-style Courage blend also brings Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot into the mix. A traditional-method sparkling wine is made every year as well, with barrel ageing adding an unusual touch for Hungary.
Opening hours are seasonal: from Thursday to Saturday, the winery welcomes visitors for tastings and wine purchases by prior appointment.
