From the week of 13 March, eight-session women's reading and creative circles will be launched on Marczi, MARCSI. During the sessions, we will explore together the issues raised by a literary work of our choice, related to the female condition. Participants will playfully seek personal connections to the theme and their own answers, and on some occasions we will also initiate a conversation with the author herself. Lessons discovered through discussion and games and formulated by the group will be translated into artworks of varying genres by the end of the sessions. The process will culminate in an intensive creative weekend, followed by a collaboratively created performative show centred on femininity in June. Two groups will run in parallel, online and in person, to give everyone the opportunity to get involved. Sessions will start from the week of 13 March, fortnightly afternoons. Online: Wednesdays 17.00-19.00 (first session due to a public holiday - 22 March) In person: Tuesdays 17.00-19.00 (first time 14 March) The sessions are led by Tímea Török (in person) and Fanni Fodor (online), drama instructors of the Paralel Creative Group No previous experience is necessary to participate. We welcome all girls, women, ladies, women, aunties who would like to reflect on what it means to be a woman, share the dilemmas they have about being a woman, share their own stories and experiences with a group, discuss creations, characters, patterns and roles, and participate in a collective creation.
