PAIN-ting - Let it flow!
Feeling pain is universally part of every living being’s life, we feel it in a somatic and in a psychic level as well, everyday less or more. It’s a sensory, emotional experience, which essential objective is to caution us to danger, advancing our survival. Our life’s setting, the way we think and our emotional state all have an effect on the complex process of experiencing pain, our body and our psyche is in a continuous interaction with each other.

Schedule
Our somatic pain, our bodily symptoms are still more accepted on a social level than our mental difficulties. Feeling our subjective sensations, our soul’s pain consciously is hard. Certain pains are hurting deep inside our core, they become an inalienable part of our identity. Often times we close these inside our heart’s deepest parts, we block their natural flow, we try to hide them, from our own and others bare eyes as well. We are afraid to let them out, they might overflow. What if we let our heart bleed, if we let the emotion of pain be felt?
The PAIN-ting - Let it flow! is Ana Fischer (Halász Anna) visual artist’s complex project, which with she creates an art therapeutic pain painting technique. Producing an opportunity to feel, express and eventually perhaps to have a cathartic release too, creating free space for the flow of emotions. The exhibition is consisting of a series of her pain-tings and a ceramic heart sculpture, specifically made for the project. At the opening, the pain-ting technique will be apparent in a form of a performance. Afterwords, PAIN-ting will open up to the recipients, in a form of workshops, altering into an interactive experience where all interested can paint their very own pain-ting.
