Körszálló, Szutjeszka, November 7. Erőmű, Petrova Gora, SZOT Szálló, Otthon Áruház, Kelenföldi Hőerőmű - Just a few of the iconic structures created under communism that serve as reminders of a historical moment. Our monuments are witnesses and custodians of important events, their timeless concrete bricks have become landmarks of our cultural heritage through their architectural significance and distinctive artistic and historical character.

Secret Mapping Experiment's mission is to dress gigantic architectural masterpieces, machines, and natural formations in special light suits. From 30 March to 2 April 2023, the Memento Park - Sculpture Park Museum will host an exhibition of their photographs of the manipulation of light spaces at memorial sites with different backgrounds, creating a unique atmosphere. Visitors will be able to view MONUMENTS, a series of images exhibited in authentic spaces, as well as object mappings. After dark, a unique light experience is projected onto giant sculptures in the museum's outdoor park.

The Secret Mapping Experiment collective, led by Dániel Besnyő, will conduct secret light experiments to evoke the forgotten history of abandoned buildings, and sealed-off areas, with unique projected visual worlds that can be seen for only a few hours in the dark of night. In, recent years, they have also created unique visual compositions beyond Hungary's borders in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia. Their most recent mapping works are inspired by historical sites, legendary hotels, and thermal power plants with an industrial atmosphere, located in mountainous landscapes, often far from civilization and spatially distant from each other.
