Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), a brash young wife who's bored, and movie star Bob Harris (Bill Murray) cross paths in a bar at a luxury hotel in Tokyo. A chance meeting soon turns into a surprising, mysterious friendship, despite the large age difference. Together, Charlotte and Bob explore Tokyo, and through encounters with the locals, they have a series of hilarious encounters. Ultimately, they discover something new: a fresh belief in life's possibilities.
