Schedule
Join us on 22 June for Witches' Sabbath! We have magical programs between 4pm and 10:30pm on the Night of Museums!
English friendly programs:
All night: Maleficae – From Bonfires to Online Witchcraft internatinal group exhibition
5pm - 7pm: Blueprint – magic on paper with light
In the cyanotype (blue print) workshop, you can create a photo-like image using a 19th century imaging technique, light and a chemical reaction. With this simple, quick technique favoured by contemporary artists, you can capture recipes for magic potions: the process is suitable for printing flowers, plants, stones, crystals, glass beads and all sorts of other witchy paraphernalia or picture what is in the witch's bag. The witch's personal items can be borrowed on the spot to make the print, or you can use your own items.
8pm - 10pm: Potion bar – kombucha tasting with Fairy Ferment
Kombucha is a fermented beverage with a millennia-old history and famous for its miraculous health effects. With Fairy Ferment, you can learn about the background and impact on the body of the kombucha and taste two flavoured versions of it, made from sweetened tea brew with fungal and bacterial cultures.
From 4pm to 10:30pm on 22 June, the Budapest Gallery will be open exclusively to visitors with a Museum Night wristband, which can also be purchased at the Gallery. The exhibition can be visited with a ticket from noon to 4pm on that day.
BTM Budapest Gallery
With its exhibitions, the Budapest Gallery seeks to present contemporary Hungarian and foreign art to the wider public and familiarize international audiences with contemporary Hungarian art. We understand visual art in the broadest possible sense, so our exhibitions also include works of an architectural nature, photography, media art, and works of the applied arts and design.
