Everyone is preparing for the Seven-Headed Fairy, because everyone has wishes, desires and problems to solve.
Who wants to be the same, who wants to be special. Who wants the world to be beautiful, who wants it to be real.
Who wants to help people, who wants to help themselves. But only the Seven-Headed Fairy can solve everything.
But where does she live, where does she stay, where does she roam?
What can happen on the journey to her, that might make her arrival unnecessary?
Our February presentation is aimed at the lower school age group, whose compulsory reading list will surely include one of Ervin Lázár's tales.
Genre of the performance: complex theatre education performance (TIE)
In a complex theatre education performance, closed theatre scenes are opened up to the class at certain dramaturgical points.
In this way, we offer a participatory approach alongside the classical role of spectator, during which the problems and dilemmas that arise are discussed and, after a period of collective reflection and interaction, the theatre scenes are continued.
The focus of the performance: together with Ervin Lázár's fairytale heroes, we adventure in external and internal worlds, searching for answers to burning questions of our own and our communities.
And, with luck, we find some answers that can help us find our place and our true path in life and in history.
Magyar Színház
The Hungarian Theatre was built in 1897, and has been renovated several times, so between 1966 and 2000 the National Theatre company played in the building. During this period, the directors were Béla Both, Endre Marton, Péter Nagy, János Sziládi, Dezső Malonyai, Imre Csiszár, László Ablonczy, István Iglódi. Its repertoire consisted of classical and contemporary masterpieces of Hungarian and world literature. The artistic directors and directors were Tamás Major, Endre Marton, István Egri, Gábor Székely, Gábor Zsámbéki, Tamás Ascher, Imre Csiszár, László Vámos, Imre Kerényi, Ferenc Sík, István Iglódi, Csaba Ivánka, Géza Bodolay, Miklós Szurdi.
Since 2000, the Hungarian Theatre of Pest has been playing within its well-trodden walls, with a company of artists who have grown up in the traditions of the old National Theatre and who continue to preserve them. For a decade, István Iglódi was the director of the theatre, during this period the directors were Imre Csiszár, Attila Vidnyánszky, István Pinczés, Sándor Guelmino, and the guest directors were Gábor Berényi, János Bruck, Gábor Czeizel, Sergei Masloboichikov, László Vándorfi. Áron Őze became the director of the theatre, Sándor Guelmino the artistic director and Imre Sipos the manager. János Zalán took over the management of the theatre on 1 January 2015.
