VHS Legends #4: RAMBO | withaudio translation FIRST BLOOD
In our "VHS Legends" series, we look back at the flawless video tape masterpieces of the 80s and 90s.

Schedule
In our fourth film, old Sly finally makes an appearance (surprisingly young), because let's face it: without him, this screening series would be unthinkable.
As usual, the shocking film experience is made all the more painful by the terrible quality of the original American sound + Hungarian narration.
Recommended only for those with strong nerves and sophisticated connoisseurs! 🙂
RAMBO - FIRST BLOOD
(First Blood - in English with Hungarian voiceover)
colour, Hungarian, American film with voice-over, 93', 1982
directed by Ted Kotcheff
Sylvester Stallone, Brian Dennehy, Richard Crenna
***Not recommended for children under 18 years of age!***
A Vietnam veteran named Rambo arrives in a small American town. His unusual attire attracts the attention of the local sheriff almost immediately. An overzealous law enforcement officer wants to prevent trouble, so he asks the stranger to leave for no particular reason.
But Rambo doesn't like to be told what to do, and when the policeman pushes him out of town, he immediately turns back. He is arrested, frisked and locked up. The sight of the bars, the violence, the brutality of the guards, brings back painful memories for the veteran, who experienced what it was like to be a prisoner during the war.
Rambo attacks his captors and escapes. And following the rules of guerrilla warfare he learned in Vietnam, he immediately heads for the nearby woods...

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
