What happens when a troll called Kalle thirsts for a litre of lacquer beer on the shores of the rugged fjords? Who is the goblin Mökki, Jukka Pekka, Gertrúd, Gréta, Freja, Frida, Jutta, Jütte? Why is Eino, the clockwork goblin, so full of juice, and why does the crab whose name is Kierkegaard think that all humans are afflicted with mad cow disease? In Dániel Varró's poetic tale, with its overwhelming humour and language, the typical landscapes and figures of Scandinavian mythology - fjords and glaciers, orcs, goblins, trolls, dwarves, Vikings, mermaids and mermaids' creatures - are brought to life in a one-man performance by Csaba Teszárek.
Budapest Puppet Theatre
Budapest Puppet Theatre dates back more than 70 years, and generations have grown up with its performances. We have had great eras, emblematic performances, and have been able to respond to the changes and cultural influences that have surrounded us. We are the only established theatre in Budapest that specialized in the genre of puppetry.
