Schedule
Autumn fragrance. A walk on the hill. Sleeping alone at home. That feeling before falling asleep. Sleep. Music! The boy in the hat singing that song.
Aida is sixteen. She doesn't like to get dressed up, her eyebrows plucked, her clothes pretty. She likes to stay up late. When she does, she thinks of daring things. What it would be like to be a film director. To evoke a spirit. Kill yourself. To be in love.
Aida lives at home with her mother. Her sisters have moved out. Her father has another family.
She's kissed once in her life. She's failing chemistry. She has nightmares about electron clouds.
She meets a boy. The one with the hat who sings that song. She, already susceptible to the afterlife, is drawn closer to the idea of death by the boy. It's the first thing in a long time that gets her excited.
We accompany her on this journey. We follow her as her world turns from grey to midnight black. But are we afraid in the dark?
