Mirror and Mask - The Objects of Anna Margit | guided tour by art historian Krisztina Sedlmayr

2024-08-28T14:00:00.000Z

The role of popular objects and popular culture is a key issue in the interpretation of Margaret's Life: it is as if her home and her images were mutually conditioned, complementary, interpenetrable worlds. During the guided tour, photographs and objects will be used to evoke the painter's strange and unique environment. What connections can we find between the vision, representation and composition of folk art and the art of Margaret Anna? We will look closely at her works from the 1960s and 1970s to find the answer to this question.
