Where does the expression "living large" come from? What regulated the wearing of headgear in the Middle Ages? What do the accessories and accessories in medieval depictions tell us? Gothic altarpieces reflect the dress codes of the period. On our guided tour in August, we will explore different medieval dress trends.

We invite mothers and fathers who want to enjoy the pleasures of art with their babies under one year old to a guided tour. As museum educators and mothers alike, we have found that there are few museum programmes that appeal to new parents. We wanted to create an environment in which no one would be embarrassed by a crying or hungry baby.

Hungarian National Gallery
The Hungarian National Gallery is the largest public collection documenting and presenting fine art in Hungary. The permanent exhibitions of the museum, located in the Buda Castle Palace complex, showcase the most important works of Hungarian art, including masterpieces by Master MS, Pál Szinyei Merse, Mihály Munkácsy, József Rippl-Rónai and Dóra Maurer.
