Hanna Tillmann - Blooming is not recommended
Opening event of Hanna Tillmann's solo exhibition at Ladó Gallery.

Schedule
Tillmann Hanna latest exhibition at Ladó Gallery explores the themes and tensions between nature and achievement, family heritage, freedom, and societal expectations. Using plants as metaphors, she expresses universal human experiences. The exhibition features oil paintings, assemblages, and frottages that delve into the relationship between the environment and the human condition. In her paintings, blooming is portrayed not only as a biological process but also as a symbol of personal development, growth, creativity, and freedom. However, she also challenges the positive connotations of blooming by questioning societal expectations and limitations. Drawing on childhood experiences and emotions, she creates images that are both fresh and profound.
"Blooming is not recommended" is inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of the Klauzál Square market and the artist's personal stories. Through the exhibition, Hanna raises questions that we can easily relate to: “Should every flower bloom, or should they be screened according to certain criteria? Is it possible to bloom halfway so as not to disturb others? Can we enjoy the fruits of our labor, or must they be preserved and packed away in a dark pantry? Can we only value hard, sweaty work, or also work that doesn’t exhaust us?”
The exhibition will be open from 5 September to 3 October 2024, during the gallery's opening hours. More information 👉 https://ladogaleria.hu/
