Schedule

The genre-bending, socially critical works of Boris Lurie (1924-2008) and Wolf Vostell (1932-1998) are being shown together for the first time in Hungary. From the late 1950s onwards, both artists took a radical approach to the Holocaust, because of their personal involvement. At a time when the majority of society was trying to get over the memory of the war and the responsibility of the Germans as quickly as possible, the two artists experimented with a formal language that confronted their audience with this painful subject.
