CASTLE CONCERT - KALÁKA FIFTY-FIVE

Unlikely as it may seem, the band Kaláka is fifty-five years old! Not individually, of course, although the youngest Kaláka member is over seventy. But that's not what the anniversary concert is about... The show is a selection of almost 1300 songs written to poems by nearly 300 poets from some 50 albums. Kaláka has been singing poetry since its beginnings (1969), for all generations, regardless of age. Arany, Petőfi, Ady, József Attila, Kosztolányi, Weöres, Kányádi... and the list goes on, all of whom are in Kaláka's repertoire and will be featured in the concert.

Halászbástya (The Fisherman's Bastion)
The Fisherman's Bastion, one of the most outstanding examples of Hungarian eclecticism, is located in the Buda Castle, a neo-Romanesque complex of buildings. This picturesque setting is home to the Fisherman's Bastion restaurant, a restaurant above the city with a unique atmosphere and a capacity of over 1,800 square meters, the perfect place for an awesome party.
