BUZZ - Back from Tartarus EP release, support: Last Seconds | A38
The post-rock band BUZZ, following the release of their 2022 album, is now presenting their new EP, Back from Tartarus, filled with epic-length songs, on the rooftop terrace of A38. The reflective start of autumn, after a fast-paced summer, will be colored by previous impulsive tracks like Inside, already familiar in international post-rock circles, and Thrown out of a Window in Calcutta.
The atmosphere will be further enhanced by Last Seconds, another band rooted in post-rock. Formed in 2020, the group will spice up the post-rock mood with their refined, structured instrumental songs.
If you enjoy varied, riff-centric post-rock music, make sure not to miss this!

Schedule
BUZZ
BUZZ is a Hungarian instrumental post-rock trio formed in 2019, known for pushing the boundaries of conventional musical styles in all their compositions. Their buzzing, instrument-centric themes and longer tracks have led many to compare them to the sound of Kyuss, pioneers of stoner rock, and the iconic Tool. In 2022, with the release of their debut album, they became one of the emerging post-rock bands in Hungary, and later gained recognition internationally. Their track Inside was featured on the Best of 2022 list by WherePostRockDwells, one of the most prominent international distributors in the genre, alongside famous bands such as My Sleeping Karma, Russian Circles, Oh Hiroshima, and Lost in Kiev. With their Back from Tartarus EP, released in August 2024, they invite fans of the genre to an impulsive musical experience with even bolder, more experimental tracks.
LAST SECONDS
The band Last Seconds was formed in 2020. Their musically sophisticated instrumental post-rock/metal songs break away from clichés, focusing on storytelling. Instead of lyrics, they convey their message through song structure, unusual tempo changes, and rich melodies.
They plan to enhance their live performances and streaming platforms with detailed animations that visually represent the stories behind their songs, creating a more immersive experience. The band's goal is to represent the post-rock/metal genre, which is undeservedly underrepresented in Hungary, and to make their valuable, well-thought-out, and musically high-standard compositions known both nationally and internationally.
The concert is part of the Felhangolva! program, supported by the MOL-New Europe Foundation.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
