The message of our jewellery by photographer Péter Rákossy with a series of portrait photos

B32 Trezor Gallery

The exhibition will be opened by Márta Tkacsik, founder of Patikakert

"For me, the forest is an endless refuge, a cool canopy, a green cathedral. When I arrive, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. In the spring, it feels like walking under a tiny silk shawl draped with bright emeralds. On hot summer days, I'm soothed by the shimmering green twilight, and in autumn, I can't get enough of the colours and flavours. In the forest community, an invisible link binds together the young and old trees, the fungi, and all the forest's inhabitants, living and dead. I evoke these memories in my jewellery, trying to bring into our everyday lives the shades of pale purple mushroom shells on the decaying stumps, the chirping of birds in the canopy, the tart flavours of pear, blackberry and rosehip."

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue, which the artist has been publishing in a series since 2004, the fifth in a series, and will include works from the last four years. In addition to the new EARTHER parchment jewellery series, the exhibition will also feature the CSODAKAMRA and DEBUSSY collections from the previous year.

A series of photographs taken by the designer with the photographer Péter Rákossy between 2022-24, which include subjective portraits of the real owners of the jewellery, will be linked to the exhibition under the title "THE SETTING OF OUR JEWELRY".

Open every weekday from 10 am to 6 pm until 8 November 2024.

The exhibition is an official programme of Budapest Design Week.
