FÉNYDÓM 2. - Light Art in the Biodome
Following the huge success of the March event, the unique FÉNYDÓM 2. exhibition will feature new light art installations, filling the subterranean spaces of the Budapest Zoo's Biodome with stunning works by several Hungarian and international artists between 6 November and 8 December 2024.
The central theme of the exhibition is nature, whose manifestations cover a broad spectrum - like light - from the microbiological level to the cosmic, including human activities. Visitors will discover site-specific installations that reveal the strength and fragility of nature, in interactive or symbolic form.
Organised by COLLOC Productions, Centrum Productions in partnership with the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, LaLuz Visuals and the Finnish Kari Kola

ℹ️ DETAILS OF THE EVENT
Following the huge success of the March event, COLLOC Productions, the Centrum Productions team, together with Laluz Visual and Kari Kola, will once again fill the Biodome's unearthly spaces with light.
The central theme of the exhibition is nature, whose manifestations cover a broad spectrum from the microbiological level to the cosmic, including human activities.
Visitors will discover site-specific installations that reveal the strength and fragility of nature, in interactive or symbolic form. The works explore the ways in which humanity can interact with or intervene in these forces.
Visitors are free to move around and explore the light art installations in the Biodome's vast, hitherto less known interiors. Lights, projections and various audiovisual elements create a unique spatial experience, while shedding light on the hidden interconnections of nature.
The works aim to show the relationship between nature and man from a new perspective. The installations include works that engage visitors in an interactive way, giving them the opportunity to interact directly with light and space. Other works take a symbolic approach, revealing the complex relationship between nature and man.
The exhibition aims to provide a unique visual and emotional experience through which visitors can reassess their relationship with nature. The Dome of Light offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore nature from a perspective they may not have experienced before.
At the end of the exhibition, it is hoped that visitors will leave with a new experience in which the human scale is seen in a new light in relation to the power of nature.
