The other component of our performance is electronic music, characterised by the mangled, distorted, layered and naïve sound of hyperpop, reflecting the information overload of digital spaces that sometimes burns everything and everyone out.

By crossing these two trends, we want to draw a parallel to the coexistence of the contradictions in life that are often so difficult to overcome. In an extremely divided society, this piece aims to serve as a common platform for the coexistence of differences.

Nóra Horváth and Balázs Oláh started their first joint research in January 2021. The starting points of their interest and work are researching and documenting the current dance culture of people living in Hungary, and their persistent ambition to find new channels of communication through which to reach audiences from different social backgrounds. Their aim is to make contemporary dance, which is concentrated in Budapest, more accessible to communities that have less access to the arts. They bring social dance of the present, such as urban dance or folk dance, to the stage with a dramaturgy typical of contemporary performance, creating a new formal language, while also making it meaningful to a wider audience, but reflecting honestly and radically on contemporary social issues and problems through raw physicality.
