FIRST TWO
The long-distance relationship between an American girl and a Hungarian boy takes an unexpected turn when their planned marriage unexpectedly fails. The lovers have one day to decide the fate of their relationship. They know that the distance between them will soon grow to thousands of kilometres. In the rush of the last day, they cling to a dream of being the first two people to fall in love at the dawn of time - while the family lunch runs out, the suitcase fills up and the plane is about to take off.
The first two were inspired by romantic relationship films such as Frances Ha. The first two were shot on a micro-budget, mostly in English. Balázs Szövényi-Lux, the director-screenwriter, studied communication at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and later at the University of Edinburgh. His short feature film Catapult won several international awards, including two at the 37th Chicago International Children's Film Festival. This is Szövényi-Lux's first feature film. The title comes from the question of what would have happened if the two characters in the film had been the first two people to fall in love at the beginning of history.
