The Society of Objects - writers' collections
What did Hungarian writers collect in the 19th century, at the turn of the last century, in the 1970s, and what do they collect today? What of all this has ended up in the Petőfi Literary Museum? The exhibition "The Society of Objects - Collections of Writers" presents the collecting passion of writers and the history of their objects, arranged in six thematic groups of artefacts.
Schedule
The exhibition will include Ervin Lázár's collection of ties, paintings decorating the walls of the former Veres Pálné Street apartment of Endre Ady and Csinszka, Áron Tamási's cigar boxes, Tibor Gyurkovics' hats bought in different countries, a door of Ferenc Karinthy's house in the village of Mädchenfalku with signatures of famous personalities, and Dezső Tandori's toy bears.
