How do women manage in the Hungarian music industry today? What are the challenges she faces at the beginning of her career? Have women's perceptions and success changed from the early 2000s to today? Can female performers face discrimination on tour? Can there be a lyric that a woman cannot take on? Are there any expectations from the public about the appearance of female performers? Are there generation-specific differences between the fates of different female artists? he event aims to explore the position and role of female musicians in the socio-economic structure of the domestic music industry in an in-depth and analytical approach.

We invite you to an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion on the role and challenges of women musicians in the Hungarian music industry! The aim of the discussion is to bring together celebrated female performers from three different generations to discuss their careers. Organised by second-year students of the Design and Arts Management Department of the Metropolitan University, the event will feature renowned speakers who will share their experiences and perspectives:

Bea Palya from Generation X, Barbara Schoblocher from Generation Y and Hanna Cseri from Generation Z will discuss various topics concerning women in the music industry, moderated by Petra Lefor.
