Dust is the smallest unit of the visible matter. Everything is made of dust and decays back into dust. Dust is the parable of the world, from a philosophical point of view dust is the ultimate thing, because in a very material sense it is the residue that bears witness to existence, the evidence of existence, but even more so its purpose, to be part of the universe.

The images of Imagined Universe are photographs made from the house dust of my friend Eszter, who passed away in this year. In the dust, swirling in the backlight, a parallel universe is etched out, exactly like a picture of a cosmic landscape, a universe that does not preserve her memory, but of herself.

The cosmic landscapes are accompanied by fictitious constellations drawn on photographs, made up of motifs specific to Eszter's life and personality, a playful attempt to construct an astrological formula imagined in retrospect.

The third part of the exhibition is based on the idea that while a speck of dust, barely visible to the eyes, from a certain point of view can be a whole universe, the planets from the perspective of the universe appear as a speck of dust. It is all a matter of perspective. The microscopic images of dust function as planets in the installation of the exhibition, in which the works are windows onto the landscapes of the universe I imagined.
