In one of the wide valleys of the eastern Hudson lies a mysterious, secluded, quiet little gorge called Sleepy Hollow. It's a magical, fairy-tale landscape full of local lore, haunted places and nightly superstitions. It is here, on an ominous day in 1799, that Inspector Ichabod Crane, a man dedicated to the latest scientific methods of investigation, arrives from New York to investigate the mysterious happenings in the small village.
Three extremely strange murders have disturbed the tranquillity of the peaceful little community. All three victims had their heads cut off and disappeared... The villagers claim to know who committed the horrific acts: none other than the legendary Headless Horseman!
