Allegro Barbaro - the Resident Art gallery's Christmas art fair

Resident Art's Christmas Fair, the Resident Art Fair, is back for its seventh edition, this time under the title Allegro Barbaro!

The title refers to the fresh, young, powerful and virtuoso character of the selection, and also to the connection to the neighbourhood named after Béla Bartók, as our gallery has been welcoming art lovers, casual buyers and art collectors at 39 Bartók Béla Street since September. The curatorial selection by Ákos Bánki and art historian János Schneller includes works by emerging artists as well as returning artists who have been successfully exhibited by the explorative duo for many years.

Around 150 works by nearly 60 artists will be on display for two weeks on the walls of Resident Art and in the fair's online catalogue. The fair is an opportunity for young, emerging artists to introduce themselves and enter the art market, and its introductory prices offer the chance to acquire contemporary works for art lovers who have never bought a painting before. Over the Christmas period, the selection may also offer a special, unique gift, a lasting keepsake or even a valuable investment. The fair is open every day except Monday from 6 to 21 December.

New this year, the first 20 buyers will be entered into a prize draw to win a numbered lithograph of József Szurcsik's Sóhajkert!
