New Moon x tEDDViSSZa end of year concert @MANYI
For those who like literature or alternative rock music, or both, the end-of-year programme at MANYI on 19 December is almost unmissable, with New Moon and tEDDViSSZa bringing poetry and underground tunes. A special atmosphere is guaranteed, but admission is free.

New Moon - what What happens when you put a Hungarian teacher and an architect together in a wine bar? The teacher is called the same name as the famous writer, but he can play the guitar; the architect is more of a philosopher and plays the keyboard. So it's easier to guess that they'll form the Újhold band, which will wrap Hungarian poetry in rock music. With the addition of drums and bass, the poems can now be performed not only at literary events, but also in clubs and on big stages. This is the universe of Újhold.

tEDDV!SSZa - melodies dressed up in an alternative guise, eclectic poems about love, the struggles of everyday life, brotherhood - after years of planning and hard work, the brothers from Budakalasz are on stage. Aiming for a wide variety of influences, they bring electronic bases under the vocals and guitars. Their music is as much about bittersweet atmospheres as it is about the sometimes punky, empowering hope. In addition to their own compositions, the show is also decorated with poems set to music by Attila József and Sándor Petőfi. "Writing songs together, that can be enough. Don't be sorry later that we didn't try."
