Cultural taster - Discover Africa!

In the grey winter chill, warm your soul with music, colour and conversation, and your body with rhythms, food and drink. The Foundation for Africa programme will give us an insight into Africa's diverse, traditional culture, and we will meet Senegalese Mandinka-era artist and griot Lamine Siskora, who will not only play music for us, but also talk about the role of griots in African society.

We'll learn about the royal regalia of the Congolese Kingdom of Cuba, the beads, tastes and dance of Ghana, and admire the classic textiles of West Africa.
